Ongoing regular work:
- Active participation in Multi diagnostic camps.
- Screening for Cataract, Glaucoma, Squint and other ocular disorders in rural areas.
- Health Promotion and Education about Eye Donation.
- Surgery for cataract, Glaucoma, Pterygium, Squint patients.
- Screening for Ocular morbidity in urban Slums.
- Screening of School Children and referring needy children for further management to GMC, Miraj.
- Issuing Visual Impairment Certificates in Mega Diagnostic camps.
- Lasers for various anterior segment disorders.
- Keratoplasty for various corneal disorders.
- Management of various pediatric disorders including squint.
- Issuing fitness and disability certificates in OPD at GMCH, Miraj and PVPGH, Sangli.
- Emergency management for all ocular injuries.
- Every Thursday one Lecturer attends Ophthalmology OPD in Tasgaon Rural Health Unit.
- Eye Donation Fortnight is celebrated eyery year at both hospitals for health promotion regarding eye donation through the use of posters, street plays, articles in news papers and pledge forms are distributed.
- Cataract Surgery Camps are conducted in PVPGH, Sangli.
- Cataract screening camps conducted

- Eye Bank – Trying to increase Keratoplasties.
- To increase Squint surgeries.
- Conducting surgeries for Posterior segment disorders.
- To increase the various ocular surgeries under Rajiv Gandhi Yojna.
- Conpleting the Post Graduate students Thesis work .
- To complete the Project of Government Cataract free Maharashtra.
- Also the screening of Diabetic and ARMD patients.
- Expansion of the Department of Ophthalmology.
