History:  

Inception of the departrnent was in 1962.

Dr N M Tiwari was honoured as our first HOD. 

He served as HOD from 1967 to 1974. 

PG course started in the year 1972. 

In 2009, PG course got MCI recognition. 

In 2010, MCI recognized PhD course started.

Museum:

Museum exhibits succinct information about History of Medicine, Nobel Laureates, adverse drug reactions, medicinal plants & indigeneous medicine, dosage forms, drug samples & various relevant topics from therapeutics.

  • Prospective study of cutaneous drug reactions in tertiary care hospital.
  • Comparison of efficacy and safety of a polyherbal formulation with paracetamol in patients of osteoarthritis of knee.
  • Adverse drug reaction monitoring in Multi Drug Resistant Tuberculosis patients.
  • A drug utilization study in indoor patients of high risk pregnancy.
